A GROOMING DAY AT THE MET VETAt The Met Vet, we want your pet to look, smell, and feel their very best! Each full service groom includes trimming the nails, cleaning the ears, a bath (flea or medicated if needed), blow drying, hand fluff drying, and full body clip. All pets arrive between 7 and 8:30am. At that time we can discuss how you would like your pet styled. Early pick-up must be scheduled when making the appointment. All grooms will be available for pick up by 4:30 in the afternoon unless notified by the groomer.
THREE STEPS TO A BEAUTIFUL PET
When your pet arrives, they are taken to relax in their own individualized compartment. Each compartment has an elevated platform to protect your pet from those unfortunate "accidents." You pet is provided with water and taken outside to walk at mid-day. STEP 1 - this is called the "rough-in." The nails are trimmed, ears cleaned, all mats are brushed out and a rough clip is completed. If skin diseases are noted by the groomer, the medical staff of The Met Vet will be consulted. If needed, Dr. Washington or the groomer will attempt to contact you with treatment options. Please indicate your desires on how to handle this situation when you give your pet's information to the groomer at your first visit. STEP 2 - Bath time! This step includes shampooing with our professional grooming shampoos. A flea or medicated shampoo is used if necessary or desired. A professional coat conditioner is applied to help prevent matting and make it easier for you to brush your pet at home. We then blow and fluff dry by hand. STEP 3 - Beautification! This step involves clipping and scissoring your pet. A bandana or bows and a sprits of cologne put the finishing touch your pet's "beauty day" at The Met Vet!!
