Wm. Hugh Washington, DVM - Dr. Washington is a
native of Decatur, Alabama. He attended Auburn University and obtained his Bachelor of Science in Animal and Dairy Science. He attended The College of Veterinary Medicine at Auburn University and graduated in 1985. Since graduation, Dr. Washington has had
the privilege to work in several multi-doctor practices in Columbus,
Georgia; Huntsville, Alabama; and Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. Washington
has maintained membership in The American Veterinary Medical Association and
The American Animal Hospital Association. He has
been an active member of the Jefferson County Veterinary Medical Association,
the Mid-State Veterinary Medical Association, and the Alabama Veterinary Medical
Association. He received the 1990 Service Award from the Alabama Association
for service to the profession.
Dr. Washington has been active in Rotary International and
Boy Scouts over the last several years. Currently Dr. Washington is actively
involved in martial arts training and instruction at
USA Martial Arts in Bluff Park
Patti L. Washington, practice manager/technician/groomer-
Patti has been with The Met Vet since August of 1992. She has become a competent veterinary technician. She is a native of Hueytown, Alabama and previously operated service oriented businesses in Florida. Her early training in radiology technician school provided her with a strong base for her veterinary training.
